Phyllis Avidan Louke, is principal flute with Oregon Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, Oregon Arts Orchestra, and Oregon Symphonic Band, Music Director of Rose City Flute Choir, and maintains a large private studio in Portland, Oregon. An active clinician and adjudicator nationally, she is also co-author of an award-winning series of teaching publications published by Theodore Presser Company.
Ms. Louke, a member of ASCAP, has been arranging and composing for the flute since 1990. Her compositions and arrangements have been winners and finalists in the annual National Flute Association Newly Published Music Competition. With over 40 published pieces, her music is published by ALRY Publications, Falls House Press, Nourse Wind Publications, Fabulous Flute Music Company, and Theodore Presser Company.
