Overview
Becoming a KHSA artist means joining a community of professional musicians and educators that KHSA proudly supports. This program offers a wealth of benefits and opportunities for artists, including:
Benefits of Being a KHSA Artist
- Service and Support: Benefit from KHSA's unwavering commitment to artist support.
- Visibility and Promotion: Gain exposure through branded websites and social media, with your work featured across KHSA's marketing channels.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with a respected network of KHSA artists dedicated to musical excellence.
- Product Design Input: Contribute to product research and development as a select artist.
- Discounts on Products: Enjoy exclusive discounts on KHSA instruments.
- Clinic Resources: The KHSA Clinic Resources Program allows event hosts to request subsidies for bringing a KHSA artist to their events. This program has limited resources that are allocated on a case-by-case basis. Funding is exclusively for clinics.
Limitations of KHSA's Support
While KHSA provides valuable support, there are some limitations to be aware of:
- Financial: KHSA does not pay artists to endorse instruments and does not function as a booking agency or management service. Artists are responsible for advancing their own careers.
- Travel Support: Support for international events may be available through our parent company, KHS Taiwan, while U.S. events are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Advertising: KHSA may feature artists in advertisements but primarily promotes achievements through internal publications and social media.
- Performance Fees: KHSA does not pay artists for performances outside of KHSA-sponsored events.
Artist Requirements
- KHSA artists are required to sign an artist agreement and maintain regular communication with the KHSA Artist Relations Department. Participation in KHSA events or marketing campaigns may also be offered, providing valuable public relations and exposure.
- KHSA artists must genuinely love and exclusively play a KHSA instrument. An established and documented career in the music industry is essential for consideration. Endorsement signifies a full commitment to a particular product, enhancing visibility and driving sales for KHSA.
Expectations from KHSA Artists
- Active Career: KHSA expects its artists to maintain an active career in the music industry, with the most compensation derived from performing, teaching, or recording.
- Product Usage: Artists are expected to exclusively use KHSA products in performances, recordings, and educational clinics, promoting KHSA and mentioning specific models when possible.
- Regular Updates: Artists should provide regular updates on their careers, including new recordings, tours, teaching roles, and publications, while integrating KHSA into their narratives.
