Angela Reynolds

Bio

Flutist Dr. Angela Reynolds is Grand Prize winner of the London Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, finalist in the Instrumental Soloist Collegiate Division of The American Prize and the Mid-South Flute Society’s Young Artist Competition, and is a sponsored Altus Artist. She has performed as a soloist, chamber player, and orchestral musician in notable concert halls internationally including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Haydnsaal of the Esterházy Palace, Royal Albert Hall, Boccherini Institute in Lucca, Italy, and Centre for Fine Arts of Brussels. Angela is Principal Flute of the Classical Music Festival Eisenstaedt Orchestra in Austria, Co-Principal flute of the Gateway Chamber Orchestra, and Instructor of Flute at Indiana State University, USA. As a contemporary music specialist and advocate of new music, she has spearheaded projects such as calls for scores for Vox Novus: Composer’s Voice Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame, commissioned and performed over thirty-five world premieres, and collaborated with composers throughout the world. Angela’s primary teachers include Nina Assimakopoulos (DMA), Angeleita Floyd (MM), Lisa Wolynec (BM), and additional studies with William Bennett, Deanna Little, Nicole Riner, Joann McIntosh, and Patricia George.
